Catriona has experience working on full-scale productions, including panto and book musicals. She has worked unitedly with Choreographers, Musical Directors and technical crew to bring her visions to life.

Catriona is a problem-solver therefore, loves the challenge of black-box/fringe theatre shows. Here, she really feels she an create interesting work through the influence of Brechtian techniques, music and sound, and thoughtful transitions… after all, she hates a blackout!

Catriona is really passionate about female-driven work and work that highlights female stories, as she feels like there's a real lack of work showing female characters and issues. She loves to explore stories about relationships, female mental & physical health, and growing up.

Equally, Catriona really enjoys working with young people and children. She hopes to gain more experience in children’s theatre, helping aid their development and love for the arts.

She approaches her work collaboratively, encouraging the actors to give ideas and express their thoughts whilst all working towards one vision.

Catriona has experience creating detailed rehearsal schedules, to ensure a smooth running and productive rehearsal room.

She is confident in leading character development exercises and workshopping ideas with the writer when necessary.
